Why the delay?

What happened to the man who stole over $100K from the American Legion? It has been in the court system for over two years. It has been one delay after another. What happened to the speedy trial law? It seems it only works for the defendant, not the victim. Don’t delay on it another year. Has politics entered into this? Come on judges and lawyers, do your job. Get it done.

The case is still currently in the court system. Due to COVID-19, many court cases have been pushed back and the court system is backlogged. We will continue to follow the case.

Someone is watching

I don’t understand how people can be half dead, or so they say, and stay in the doctor’s office all the time, and run around all the time. There’s a lady that lives here in Matthews and she’s always in the doctor’s office and went to Branson today. I don’t know how she can be very sick and go to Branson. And I’m sure when she comes back she’ll be a griping about how she feels and she’ll go to the doctor about every other day. That’s ridiculous. People are getting tired of messing with her and taking her to the doctor and stuff. Thank you.

Mosquitoes getting bad

I’m calling Speakout to see if we can find out when the city is going to start spraying for mosquitoes again. The things are getting big enough to carry you off. We’ve tried to call city hall and we just get referred to different numbers. They refer you to different numbers and then refer you to another number. It ought to be made a little simpler somehow. Thank you.

What is Sikeston doing about the mosquito problem here in the City of Sikeston? They are real bad and no one seems to care. No one is spraying or nothing.
