Endangered Silver Advisory issued for New Madrid woman

NEW MADRID, Mo. — An Endangered Silver Advisory has been issued for a New Madrid woman.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the New Madrid County Sheriff's Office issued an Endangered Silver Advisory for a missing adult incident that occurred at 5 p.m. Sunday at 71 Coffee Road in New Madrid.

The missing adult is Ernestine Russell, 72, who is 5 feet, 2 inches tall and weighs about 180 pounds. She has black hair, brown eyes and was last seen wearing a burgundy house coat. She has a tattoo on the left side of her neck. She’s also been diagnosed with dementia and heart problems.

According to the Patrol, Russell was at her residence when a neighbor noticed what is believed to be her brother, Lester Russell, and an unknown Black female enter the residence and take Russell out with them. Russell’s legal guardian did not give permission for Lester Russell to take Ernestine Russell.

Lester Russell’s vehicle, a blue Dodge four-door truck, was last seen heading northbound from 71 Coffee Road in New Madrid.

Anyone seeing the missing person, suspect, associate, or vehicle, or anyone having any information related to the endangered missing person, should immediately dial 911 to contact the nearest law enforcement agency or call the New Madrid County Sheriff's Office at (573) 748-2516.
