Barbara Rowland
CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. — Barbara Howard Rowland, 79, of Cape Girardeau died Monday, Nov. 29, 2021, at Saint Francis Medical Center.
She was born Jan. 22, 1942, in Poplar Bluff, Missouri, to Clifford Derrington and Gladys Ward. She and John Howard were married March 18, 1965, in Germantown, Tennessee. He precedes her in death. She then married Wayne Rowland on June 17, 2017, at Sikeston, Missouri. She was an office manager of Security Alarms of America for over 20 years. She was of the Catholic faith. She enjoyed golfing and being at the lake. She was a member of Fox Haven golf course in Sikeston and Forrest Glen in Naples, Florida .
Survivors include: her husband; son, Paul T. (Ramona) Howard of O Fallon, Missouri; daughter, Susan K. (Jamey) Hall of Cape Girardeau; two stepsons, Scott Rowland and Kurt Rowland of Florida; sister, Wanda M. Bowen of Jefferson City, Missouri; one granddaughter, Katie (Jason) Coy of Cape Girardeau; three great-grandchildren, Brayden, Ella, Ava Coy of Cape Girardeau.
She was preceded in death by her parents, first husband, and brother, Clifford Derrington.
Memorial Service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 4, 2021 at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Chapel in Cape Girardeau with the Rev. Donny Ford officiating.
The family thanks the staff at Saint Francis Medical Center.
