Do masks cause cough?

Can anybody tell me about these masks, whether they’re throw aways or washables, that the particles get down in your throat and make you start coughing real bad. Then a couple of days later you may get a bad congestive cough from wearing a mask, whether it’s a throw away or a washable, because of the particles that’s come off of it.
