Stop sending graduation announcements

This is graduation time for high schools and I have a question. At what generation do the announcements for graduation seniors stop coming? After you have responded to the first nephew or niece, which you never hear from, only at such times. People in their 90s do not need graduation announcements, especially those they wouldn’t know if they met them on the street, face-to-face. And that’s probably the last time you’ll ever hear from them unless a child comes along. And then you bet your bottom dollar you’ll hear from them again. I so appreciate the privilege of making this announcement and I’ll bet there are other senior citizens – 80s, 90s, maybe older – that are still getting graduation cards from maybe the second, third, fourth generation of nieces and nephews they never hear from.

Three extra numbers is too many

I’m calling about the new area code they think we need in this area. If a number is no longer being used, why can’t they just recycle that number per se, and just assign it to somebody else, instead of just letting it sit out there in the never ever lands. Instead, we have a new area code because we are running out of numbers. We aren’t running out of numbers. I don’t think we should have to dial all the numbers and the area code to just call across the street or across town. Must be run by the government, the way the phone companies are.

Sikeston is greedy, price-gouging

Today is May 14 in Sikeston. I went to Cape today and the gas in Cape was $4.09 a gallon. In Sikeston, it’s $4.19. Sikeston is nothing but greedy and price-gouging, and in Benton, at Boomland, it was $3.99. Sikeston’s always been like that.
