Local students graduate from WKCTC

PADUCAH, Ky. — West Kentucky Community and Technical College recognized and celebrated the class of 2022 during spring commencement ceremonies on May 7.

Featured speaker Dr. Chrystal Dilworth Henderson was thrilled to be in Paducah speaking to more than 175 candidates for graduation during WKCTC’s Spring Commencement recently at the Carson Center for Performing Arts.

“Today is, for each and every one of you, a beginning. Today is the first day of the rest of your life,” said Henderson, a Heath High School and Paducah Community College graduate. “You should capitalize on the momentum you have built and use it to your advantage to take your success to the next level.”

Local candidates for graduate are:

Joshlynn J. Boyd, of Sikeston, Missouri, with a certificate in the Interdisciplinary Early Childhood Education Program

Shannon Ashley Eftink, of Sikeston with a certificate in the Nursing Assistant Program

Cadence Marie Hercik, of East Prairie, Missouri, with a certificate in the Nursing Assistant Program

West Kentucky Community and Technical College (WKCTC) has been recognized as an Aspen Prize Top 10 Community College five times by the Aspen Institute and has been named a Finalist with Distinction three times.
