Portageville Elementary teachers are welcoming and guiding them to their respective classes Friday morning. The Portageville Elementary administration and teachers are ready for an exciting year as the large sign reads, “Lets Do This!” in the main entrance.

Elementary teachers and staff members are tagging students with the school bus number, so when school lets out, it will help them to get on the same bus they came off of. “Most of the parents will bring their children to school especially the first day, then let them ride the bus the rest of the year,” said Kim Taylor, elementary school principal. - Scott Seal photo

High School Principal Barry Branscum welcomes the student body for another year of school and introduces the teachers. After the brief introductions, the student body was dismissed into their grade classification with their class sponsors for more policy discussions.
