BENTON - A man who has spent the last 15 years in prison is now a free. Scott County Prosecuting Attorney Paul R. Boyd said Wednesday that he sent the Missouri Department of Corrections a letter seeking the release of Joshua Kezer, 34, for the 1992 death of Angela Mischelle Lawless. The 19-year-old Benton woman was found dead in her car on the Interstate 55 exit ramp near Benton. Kezer, arrested as an 18-year-old in 1993 for the crime, was tried and convicted of murder in the case...
