Or is all of that money going to go to another town, like the BMU building and the city police department, which was quite unfair to Sikeston to have it sent someplace else...

High winds close river ferry

EAST PRAIRIE - The Dorena-Hickman Ferry is closed due to high winds. Captain Ed Floyd says NW winds are running about 14 miles per hour with occasional gusts. With high water along the Mississippi River, the river banks do not provide the normal shelter from the wind at the landing points. The ferry is closed for the remainder of today with plans to reopen on the regular summer schedule on Tuesday morning...
