"Waiting on God" is Isaiah's definition of fervent, effectual prayer. The prophet wrote: "Has thou not known? Has thou not heard, that the everlasting God, the Lord, the Creator of the ends of the earth, faint not, neither is weary? There is no searching of His understanding. He gives power to the faint; and to them that have no might He increases strength. Even the youths shall faint and be weary, and the young men shall utterly fall: but they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint" (Isa. 40:28-31).

MU Extension provides a tenfold return on funding

COLUMBIA, Mo. - A recently completed assessment of University of Missouri Extension found that with an annual investment of $86 million (2016), MU Extension generated dividends totaling nearly $950 million. The findings are part of a report developed by TEConomy Partners LLC. Jaycees collecting food items to help the Bulldog Pantry

SIKESTON --The Sikeston Jaycee Bootheel Rodeo is collecting nonperishable food items to present to the Bulldog Pantry for a "livestock" the shelves event. Children ages 3 to 13 who bring 10 or more nonperishable items to the Bulldog Pantry table in front of the ticket office will receive a voucher for $10 off his or her next Rodeo ticket purchase during the 2017 season.
