ORLANDO, Fla. - Margaret Painter, 85, formerly of Portageville, Mo., died June 27, 2007.

Born in 1922, the daughter of the late John and Armilda Crawford (Heacker) Jack of Knoxville, Tenn., she was a homemaker, and an active member of the First Baptist Church of Portageville. In 2006, she moved to Orlando.

She was preceded in death by her husband, L.B. Painter, Jr., M.D.

Survivors include: two daughters, Karen Elizabeth Painter and Nancy Marie (Painter) Richmond of Orlando; two sons, John B. Painter of Germantown, Tenn. and James Edward Painter of Overland Park, Kan.; one sister, Dorothy (Jack) Denny of Nashville, Tenn.; and four grandchildren.

Visitation is from noon until time of services at 1 p.m. Saturday at Memorial Park Funeral Home, 5668 Poplar Avenue in Memphis, Tenn. Dr. Buck Morton of First Baptist Church of Portageville, will officiate.

Burial will be at Memorial Park Cemetery, 5668 Poplar Avenue in Memphis.
