Speakout 1/2

Friday, January 2, 2004

Hey, Mike. Maybe you can help me. I called the Southeast Missourian to put an article in, but I guess they didn't want to step on anyone's toes. The topic is the Diversion Channel Bridge. How long is it going to take to finish this thing? Who is doing this? The course of the river will change before this project is finished. Has this company ever built a bridge before? Apparently not.

We called Missouri Department of Transportation Resident Engineer Bob Wilson with your question. "It will be open this winter. The contractor is out of the water and has completed the last work in the channel itself. Hopefully it will be completed (weather permitting) sometime this winter."

I wanted to thank the person who picked up my snowman off my front porch. I really appreciate them for picking it up, but if they would like to have the box to store it in, if they'll come back, they can have the box too.

Have you ever printed the first quarter honor roll for Sikeston High School? If you did, I somehow missed it and would like to have a copy for my scrapbook if possible. You should be getting the honor roll for the second quarter soon, and I like to keep them in order. Thanks for checking on this for me.

We have never received the first quarter honor roll for Sikeston High School. We called the school to request a list and will get it published as soon as possible.

Mike Jensen said that misspelling is OK as long as we can decipher it. No wonder this world is so messed up. No one can understand what someone else is saying. This is great, Mike. Happy new year to you, too.
