Another grave complaint

I, too, would like Speakout about the Garden of Memories Cemetery. I have my loving husband out there and I have tried to get them to straighten his tombstone up and put some dirt by the side of it where there is a hole. When I go out there there is grass and dirt and stuff all over it. I have to clean it off to even find it and see the name to tell who it is. He was buried out there in 1998 and never have got them to do anything about the way the tombstone is or the marker, I would say.

I would like to know why the New Madrid County police department cannot respond to a call when a boy may be in trouble and the state patrol is here in 10 minutes. Why are we paying taxes to our New Madrid County police department? It is a lot to ask for.

A very special thank you to the Elks Lodge Club and all others that were involved in a spectacular Fourth of July fireworks display. Thank you for keeping some memorable traditions alive in this town of Sikeston.

I see in the Speakout where everyone is hollering about the ones who go and play bingo. I don't look at it as anything worse than lying to get it. I don't think if you are able to go to work or need somebody to clean your house. I don't see where you need somebody to pay your fuel and all your other bills and get your medicine for nothing. I think they do need to get off their butts, go down to Family Services and check it. A lot of them who don't need it. I think it would be a lot of help to the working people if they didn't have to pay so much taxes.

I'm just calling to complain about some of the people who live in our town. It is such a disgrace when we visit Uncle and Aunt who live on such a nice street but the people who live on it, they just don't have no respect at all for other people. They let trash lay in their yards and it blows in other people's yards and they have to pick up. I just don't know why when we come to their home, we are used to living in an area where it is all nice and clean, but when we come to visit them it is such a mess. The town I'm referring to is Morley, Missouri.

They were asking where you could find the spiritual records that they play on Sunday morning on 92.95. We use a bookstore at 132 Center St. in Sikeston.

Would you please tell me how in the world you could sell food stamps at a bingo game when your food stamps come in plastic card? I don't know who called in about somebody selling food stamps at a bingo game but I can't even believe that this happened.
