LILBOURN - Raymond Tindle, 93, died Feb. 13, 2005, at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston.

Born Sept. 10, 1911, in Columbus, Miss., son of the late Roland and Bessie Beam Tindle, he was a farmer and had worked for Ralston Purina before retiring. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Lilbourn.

On Sept. 18, 1937, he married Elvetia Morgan, who preceded him in death on April 28, 1993.

Survivors include: three sons and two daughters-in-law, Raymond R. Tindle and T.D. and Ronda Tindle of Lilbourn and Jerry and Mona Tindle of Bowling Green, Ky.; five daughters and sons-in-law, Pat and Dick Twitty, Sue and Jearl Lawrence and Deno and Scott Buskey of Lilbourn, Lois and George Allman of Rockford, Mich., and Tootie and Mike Forrester of Essex; one sister, Loney Newton of St. Louis; and 15 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.

In addition to his wife and parents, one son, Larry Tindle, four brothers and four sisters preceded him in death.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the Ponder Funeral Home in Lilbourn where services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday. The Rev. Bill Reid, pastor of the First United Methodist Church in Lilbourn, will officiate.

Burial will follow in the Mounds Park Cemetery in Lilbourn.

Pallbearers will be Shawn Allman, Tyler Tindle, David Keith, Terry Tindle, Tony Parker and Dustin Forrester.
