Regarding the comments on the Mentos-soda experiment: it is no wonder that this nation is facing an obesity epidemic and diabetes is rampant in the area when so people mistake soda pop for food. If you are so poor, maybe you ought to consider passing on pop and buy something a bit more nutritious like milk.

Can anyone tell me the address for the New Madrid County Health Inspector? For restaurants, businesses, etc.? I just need an address, name, phone number.

John Wofford, New Madrid County Health Department, 406 Hwy. 61, New Madrid, Mo. 63869 Phone 573-748-5541.

I would like to call shenanigans on the Cowabunga SpeakOut. If they knew who the Ninja Turtles were they would know they are only here to help us with our problems. It's probably Shredder, Be-Bop and Rock Steady.

I'm calling about this ad for the person who was looking for machine quilters. My number is 683-2528.

This is in response to the person looking for a machine quilter. The phone number is 380-8359. This person is a magnificent machine quilter.

I read in the paper where someone was looking for someone who did machine quilting. There is a lady in Portageville and her number is 379-3455.

I'd like to speak out about the quilting notions about the Dolly Madison building down there in Sikeston. Well come on Sikeston, let's get all of these nice buildings filled up. There are so many things that could be located here in Sikeston in these big nice buildings. Let's get K-mart back in here, get us a Kohl's and lots of good things. We could enjoy them and shop and keep our money in Sikeston.

Americans, in this richest country on earth, should be able to travel to any small town, any village or hamlet in this country on this continent by train without ever having to get into a car. It should not cost a fortune. It makes me so mad that the business interests posing as a government in this country have deprived the American people of any alternative transportation that does not cost a fortune. This is absurd.

To the person or persons who took my purse and put it in the bathroom trash while I was working, I would like for you to return my wallet, and anything and everything to 503 Davis Blvd. I do want to thank you for leaving my purse behind. I am sorry I had no money in my wallet, that is one reason that I work - so I can have a little money, unlike you. You are probably the type that lives off the system and you know how to use it to your benefit. Please return my wallet to the store or mail it back. I would like to have my pictures back. Just remember that I may not get you, but believe me, one of these days God will. And you can count on that!
