How many times does it take for the East Prairie Police Department to go to one house and not do anything about it? They've been to a house two or three times, maybe more, and they never do anything to the people.

I would like to speak out about Obama. I cannot believe he is doing as well as he is doing. He's a big fake. We do not need him for President. He is saying this and that. He's not going to do anything. People better wake up. He's a Muslim. We have not seen nothing yet. The time is coming.

There is a new store on Davis Street, next to Anything and Everything. The name of the store is New to You. All the proceeds go to the House of Refuge. I have never seen a used store that is so cheap. They have very good things. If you need anything, go by and check them out. If you have good things to donate, clothing, furniture and odds and ends, remember the money goes for a good cause.

This is to the Home alone queen. Have you had one too many drinks, or a shot or two? If he hasn't broke up with his wife, he's not going to.

Michael Jensen is a sweetheart, even if he is a Republican.

This is to the employees at the Family Service, or welfare, or whatever you want to call it. If someone applies for welfare, all you have to do to prevent fraud is call the license bureau and ask what kind of vehicle they own. Give them a drug test. If they fail the drug test, they don't qualify for aid. When they go to the hospital, if there is any illegal drugs in their system, they should lose their benefits. If they have children, take the children from home. This shouldn't be too complicated for the employees to do. Welfare income goes for illegal drugs, alcohol, tobacco, gambling. I see so many people shopping with food stamps and they're driving a new vehicle. We, the working people, we can't afford stuff like this. When we go shopping we have a limited amount that we can feed our family with. I just think it's ridiculous that our taxes are going for programs such as this. There's people that need help, but there's too many getting it that are committing fraud. Our government and state don't seem to be to concerned about it.

After considering what I saw in SpeakOut on Jan. 6, I just can't help but wonder if some people shouldn't seek professional help. Out of six listings, only the first had something we as readers could even consider as quality reading. I have always viewed this portion of the Democrat as a gratuity on the part of the publisher. A way of allowing the readers to express issues of importance to the community. A chance, if you will, to express subject matter to improve quality of life and bring the like in justice. What I've seen today is prejudice, homicidal threats, sniveling, selfishness and the airing of dirty laundry. If this is the future of this section of the paper, I should consider skipping the soap opera altogether. I respectfully submit this on behalf of those of us who aspire to improve the quality of life for all.

I just heard that Martha Stewart used steps made from a very special stone that is being mined and used for decorative fences and house decorations for the very wealthy and elite. They are replacing the stone taken with trees. They have no respect for nature, for natural resources. Send the *&%$ back to jail for conspicuous consumption. Let's make a law against it.
