Sonny Gammons

EAST PRAIRIE - Frank "Sonny" E. Gammons, 63, died at 6 p.m. June 17, 2005, in the Missouri Delta Medical Center.

Born Nov. 14, 1941, in Dorena, son of the late Carol Gammons and Minnie L. Busby and Eddie Watson, he lived most of his life in East Prairie and was of the Baptist belief.

On Oct. 26, 1962 he married Pat Heppe, who survives of the home.

Other survivors include: one son and daughter-in-law, Bubby and Laura Gammons of East Prairie; three daughters and one son-in-law, Angela Aters of East Prairie, Melissa and Steve Fee of Zion, Ill., and Tonya Gammons of St. Petersburg, Fla.; one brother, Billy T. Watson of East Prairie; one sister, Louise Gascoigne of East Prairie; and eight grandchildren.

One son, Leslie Wayne Gammons; two brothers, Bill and Buster Gammons; and four sisters, Clara Mae Collins, Marie Watson Sisk, Mozell Sanders and Audrella Huff Kirby preceded him in death.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. today in the Shelby Funeral Home in East Prairie with David Dowdy officiating.

Burial will follow in the East Prairie Memorial Park Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Jim Bo Taylor, Ricky Huff, Teddy Sisk, Billy Edward White, Louis Cummins, Richard Hennrich, Jason Brown and Lowell Watson.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Glenn Evans and Charles Heppe Jr.
