Archie Duley

DEXTER -- Archie Merrell Duley, 87, died April 3, 2005, at Missouri Southern Healthcare in Dexter.

Born Feb. 18, 1918, in Dexter, son of the late Archie D. and Lucy L. Blevins Duley, he had been a resident of Dexter most of his life and was a self-

employed carpenter. He attended the General Baptist Church.

On July 9, 1938, in Fisk, he married Lucille H. Stickles who preceded him in death on July 15, 1998.

Survivors include: two sons, Archie M. Duley Jr. of Orlando, Fla., and Michael D. Duley Sr. of Bloomfield; one daughter, Marlyn Rae Neely of Steubenville, Ohio; two brothers, Lawrence Duley of Poplar Bluff and Ray Duley of Bogalusa, La.; and eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Visitation is from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Watkins and Sons Funeral Home in Dexter, where services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday. Dean Williams of Dexter and the Rev. Rick Roberts of Essex will officiate.

Burial will follow in the Hagy Cemetery at Dexter.
