SIKESTON -- Jimmy Warren Powers, 60, died Aug. 29, 2005, at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston.

Born Dec. 27, 1944, in Sikeston, to the late Warren and Eureda Robinette Powers, he had been a truck driver for Halls Trucking in Charleston and also Triangle Wire Co. in Sikeston.

On April 29, 1982, in East Prairie, he married Kathy Bailey who survives of the home in Sikeston.

In addition to his wife, survivors include: three daughters, Katherine Dunaway of Oceanside, Calif., Sandy Walters and Lisa Ramsey of Oran; two stepdaughters, Vicki Golightly of East Prairie and Christina Golightly of Oceanside; three brothers, Ronald Powers of Booneville, Ind., Danny Powers of St. Louis and Stanley Powers of Sikeston; three sisters, Betty O'Conner and Debbie McQuay of St. Louis and Stephanie Powers of Jackson; and 12 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

He was preceded in death by one brother and two sisters.

The family will have a memorial service at a later date with Nunnelee Funeral Chapel in charge of arrangements.
