CAIRO, Ill. - Larry J. Morris, 55, died July 23, 2006, in the Southeast Missouri Hospital at Cape Girardeau, Mo.

Born June 26, 1951, in St. Louis, Mo., son of the late Harvey and Caseline Barnes Morris, he was a 1968 graduate of Charleston (Mo.) High School and a 1994 graduate of Southern Illinois University in Carbondale. He had been employed with Cairo Public Schools for the past 11 years. A U.S. Army veteran, he was of the Baptist belief.

Survivors include: his wife, Tammy Morris of Cairo; one son, Lee Beal of Kansas City, Kan.; three daughters, Michelle Morris Pulliam of Cape Girardeau, Tonya Hill of Chicago and Ashley Tucker of Cairo; one brother and sister-in-law, Michael and Patricia Morris of Sikeston, Mo.; and nine grandchildren.

Visitation is from noon until time of services at 1 p.m. Saturday at the Bowden Civic Center in Charleston, Mo. The Rev. J.L. Posey will officiate.

Burial will follow in the Oak Grove Cemetery near Charleston.

Williams Funeral Home of Charleston is in charge of arrangements.
