MINER - Leta Mae Scott Bailey, 70, formerly of Wyatt, died at 11:59 a.m. June 24, 2005, at her home.

Born Sept. 21, 1934, in Piggott, Ark., daughter of the late Robert and Zora Montgomery White, she lived most her life in Mississippi County, where she and her husband Fred Bailey owned and operated the Wyatt Junction Restaurant. She was a member of the Elm Street Baptist Church in Charleston.

She was married to Chester Scott, who preceded her in death. She later married Fred Bailey, who also preceded her in death.

One son, Terry Joe Everett; one brother, Clayton McCollum; one grandson, Tyson Everett; and two great-grandchildren also preceded her in death.

Survivors include: three sons, Bobby Everett of Clarkton, Thomas Everett of Taylor, Mich., and Dennis Everett of Wyatt; two daughters, Teresa Powers of Olmstead, Ill., and LaDonna Robertson of Charleston; one sister, Betty Eskew of Malden; and 16 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Visitation is after 6 p.m. today at the Shelby Funeral Home in East Prairie, where services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday. Jon Archie will officiate.

Burial will follow in the East Prairie Memorial Park Cemetery.
