Naomi Hill
BLOOMFIELD - Naomi Hill, 87, died Oct. 9, 2005, at the Cypress Point Healthcare in Dexter.
Born May 14, 1918, near Essex, she was the daughter of the late John Oliver and Altha Kelley Alsup. She was a homemaker and a member of the St. Joe General Baptist Church in Idalia.
On April 26, 1941, she married James "Jim" L. Hill, who preceded her in death on Oct. 6, 2000.
Survivors include: two sons and daughters-in-law, Ernie and Sylvia Hill and John and Susan Hill, all of Dexter; one sister, Vivian Mayo Smith of Bloomfield; eight grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and four great-great-
grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her step-mother, Ada Bolin Alsup, who raised her; one daughter, Patricia Elaine Hill; one brother, Ernest Alsup; and one sister, Elma Hisaw.
Visitation is from 5 to 8 p.m. today at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter, where services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, with the Rev. Dan Sitze officiating.
Burial will follow in the Bloomfield Cemetery.
