PORTAGEVILLE - William Robert "Rob" Penn, 44, died Sept. 14, 2005, in Hayti.

Born June 14, 1961, in Washington, D.C., son of Emily Ann Marvel Penn of Poplar Bluff and the late William McHenry Penn, he was actively involved in the Portageville community. He was past treasurer of Delta Water Fowl and a past member of the Portageville Kiwanis, where he was honored as "Kiwanis Man of the Year." He was an avid outdoorsman and spent many happy days fishing, hunting, golfing and playing cards. One of his greatest pleasures was his involvement with the youth of Portageville, coaching various athletic teams. "Mr. Rob," as he was affectionately known to the kids, started the PeeWee Football Program in 1998, and was actively involved until 2003. He also coached several baseball teams and was the Little League commissioner. He was also involved in the PeeWee Basketball Program. Since 1991, he had been the voice for the Portageville Bulldogs, announcing side by side with Dale Chamberlain. He loved doing the radio, and his family lovingly named him "Radio Rob!" Portageville youth will be forever grateful for his investment in their lives.

On a Thursday night, April 21, 2005, Rob gave his heart to Jesus Christ in revival services at the First Assembly of God.

On Nov. 17, 1984, in Poplar Bluff, he married Susan Spencer who survives of the home.

In addition to his wife and mother, other survivors include: three sons, Lance Penn, Jordan Penn and Kurt Penn, all of Portageville; one daughter, Kellye Penn of Portageville; two brothers, Brad Penn and Mitch Penn, both of Poplar Bluff; one brother-in-law, Darryl Spencer of Fayetteville, Ark.; one sister-in-

law, Tiffany Thomas of Portageville; and one Aunt, Louise Essary of Portageville.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by twin sisters, Lisa Louise and Teresa Lorraine.

Visitation is after 6 p.m. today at the Assembly of God Church in Portageville, where services are scheduled for 1 p.m. Friday with the Rev. Eugene Poole officiating.

Burial will follow in the Portageville Cemetery.

DeLisle Funeral Home of Portageville is in charge of arrangements.
