Speakout 7/10

Sunday, July 10, 2005

In regard to your article about Garden Lane Cemetery, it has been several years since my brother had problems with them. He had ordered a stone for our mother's grave in 1977. It took over two years before the stone was finally placed. Before it was over he finally had to threaten legal action toward the cemetery to get the stone that he had paid for. It seems this has been an on going problem with this company for over 20 years. Our problem was finally solved, but not without some difficulty. I would hope and pray that this company will finally realize the grief they are causing families at a time that they don't need it.

It's about time someone listens to all of the complaints about The Garden of Memories Cemetery. My mother died in 1998 it took us over a year to get her tombstone and when I go back home to visit my family and friends I go by the cemetery and her tombstone is covered in mud and overgrown grass along with my other family members that are buried there. Not to mention when I bring flowers and put the vase on her grave they take it off and put it on the next grave. Hopefully there will be some changes in the near future on how they treat the people that have lost a loved one and hopefully they can get someone decent to take care of the cemetery so we won't have all of our loved ones' tombstones covered in mud and overgrown grass.

Since everyone is complaining about a local cemetery, I am complaining also. I had some shepherd's hooks put up at my dad's grave spot and a couple of friends' spots and I probably had about six of them. The cemetery took them down and I didn't know anything about it until it was too late. There was nothing ever said about it. I don't know what they did with them but they were worth $10 a piece. That isn't the point, we can't hang flowers at our family's grave. I think something needs to be done about that. It is not right.

You can tell all the Republican Senators and all the Republicans Congress if they don't bring our boys home, I will be voting Democrat. I won't be voting Republican any more. We want our boys home now. They don't need us over there. We have established a democracy, they can do it on their own, they don't need our help. Bring our boys home or I'm voting Democrat.

This is to the person about the "trial" comment that all celebrities, especially blacks, can do anything and get by with it. What about Robert Blake who supposedly shot his wife and he got acquitted but he is not black. Sounds to me like you are a racist.

I see where the Brownies from Girl Scout Troop 50 have published a cookbook. I would like to know how I can get one.

I want to Speakout about Mr. Bush and his speech the other night. I didn't listen or watch Mr. Bush because he says the same ol' thing every speech, so why listen to him? I will be so glad when he gets out of office. He is nothing but a liar and a big phony. He doesn't care if all of our boys and girls get killed, he could care less. That is his crazy war. He only wanted a war because his father. Why won't he be honest about it and quit lying. I have no respect for Mr. Bush. Our country is in serious danger and our economy is worse off than anytime in history. He doesn't worry about it. He is a very sorry, sorry man for a president.
