Ray Lawson

HAYWARD - Ray Lawson, 62, died July 2, 2006.

Born July 22, 1942, at Portageville, he was the son of the late Odell and Mattie Hawks Lawson.

On Dec. 6, 1980, he married Francis Yarbrough, who survives of the home.

Other survivors include: three sons and two daughters-in-law, Billy and Teresa Lawson of Portageville and Troy and Teresa Johnson and Clint Johnson of Jackson, Tenn.; three daughters and two sons-in-law, Sharon and Kevin Keown of Van Buren, Terrie and Sid Alvarado of Greenwood, Ind., and Daphne Duncan of Marston; one brother, Richard Lawson of Conran; two sisters, Darlene Bush of Cape Girardeau and Minnie Lou Hildabrand of Armour, Colo.; and 14 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Elwood Lawson, Melton Lawson and J.R. Lawson.

Visitation will begin at 6 p.m. today a the DeLisle Funeral Home in Portageville, where funeral services are scheduled for 1 p.m. Thursday. The Rev. Dewayne Roberts will officiate.

Burial will follow in the Portageville Cemetery.
