DEXTER -- Mary A. George, 73, died Jan. 20, 2006, at her home in Dexter.

Born Jan. 28, 1932, in Hector, Ark., daughter of the late Hobert and Sibyl Coffman Voss, she was a member of Sugar Tree Baptist Church near Bernie, a former supervisor with Ely Walker Manufacturing in Kennett and a former employee of B&M Landscaping in Dexter.

On May 4, 1957, in Piggott, Ark., she married James Elvis George, who preceded her in death on Jan. 17, 1988.

Survivors include: one daughter, Mary Jean Gibson of Bernie; two sisters, Marlene Owens of Bernie and Gevauna Maddox of Dexter; three brothers, Bob Voss of Boyce, La., the Rev. Bill Voss of Macksville, N.C., and William Voss of Wappapello; and one granddaughter.

Two brothers, Carl Voss and Hobert Voss, also preceded her in death.

Visitation is from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter, where services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday. The Revs. Joe Ogelvie and Steve Fitzpatrick will officiate.

Burial will follow in the Lulu Cemetery at Senath.
