Ruth Ellen Swanson

CARUTHERSVILLE - Ruth Ellen Swanson, 56, died Sept. 19, 2005, at the St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

Born Feb. 11, 1949, she was the daughter of the late Ruth N. Gray and James Muse.

She was married to Robert Swanson, who preceded her in death on June 19, 1986.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two daughters, Kimberlee Michelle Swanson, who died Aug. 24, 1996, and Melissa Ann Swanson, who died in 1986.

Survivors include: one daughter, LeeAnna Adams of Caruthersville; four sons, Robert "Bobby" Swanson, Jason Swanson and Josh Swanson of Caruthersville and Tony Earnheart of Evansville, Ind.; two brothers, James Vernon Muse of Elsinore and Henry Steve Muse of Holcomb; three sisters, Christine Cooper of Poplar Bluff, Mucy Belle Wooley of Alvin, Texas, and Pat Muse of Portageville; and seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Visitation will begin at 9 a.m. Thursday at the DeLisle Funeral Home in Portageville until time for services at 1 p.m. Thursday.

Burial will follow in the Portageville Cemetery.
