Speakout 12/12

I live in Sikeston and the stuff about the holiday trees and holiday season, the merchants not saying Christmas. Well, I'd like to say our local Wal-Mart has said Merry Christmas every time I have called. Thank you Wal-Mart.

I am sick of Happy Holidays. What happened to Christmas? Don't they know it's all about the birth of Jesus Christ our Savior? I never say Happy Holidays. I always say Merry Christmas and Happy New Year. These merchants that won't say Merry Christmas should be ashamed of themselves. I am appalled at what's going on. There are a lot of holidays, Memorial Day, Mother's Day, Fourth of July, etc. The atheist and the ACLU hate Christmas because we're referring to Jesus Christ's birthday. I love Christmas lights and Christmas trees because Jesus is the Light of the World.

Merry Christmas, Sikeston. The festive lights celebrating the birth of the greatest teacher of kindness, gentleness and peace are very beautiful. But, behind how many of those colorful and brilliantly lighted houses is a dog living in its personal concentration camp in a perpetual deep freeze without enough to eat or drink or a place to ever get warm. For deliberately causing one of God's most beloved creatures so much pain and suffering, you will surely burn in Hell. All the Christmas lights in the world won't save you.

This is to all you people out there who don't know what RSVP means. It means you let that person know that you can or can not attend. Either by phone, or if there is a card in the invitation, you return it. You do not know how inconvenient it is in planning a small party to a big wedding, plan on food, catering, chairs, tables etc. You need to call and say either yes, I can or no, I can't make it. Respond in some way. This time of year it is very helpful.

I would like to thank the person or persons who found my billfold in the parking lot Dec. 7. You are very special, honest and trustworthy. Everything was in it. Thank God and Bless you. Have a very Merry Christmas.
