SIKESTON - Peggy Jean Shannon, 42, died Dec. 8, 2005, as the result of an automobile accident on Interstate 57, near Charleston.

Born Sept. 14, 1963, in Memphis, Tenn., daughter of Tom Moore Jr. of Lilbourn and Earlene Moore of New Madrid, she was a 1961 graduate of Melrose High School in Memphis and had lived in Missouri for over 14 years. She was a member of House of Prayer Church of God in Christ in Parma, where she was a primary Sunday school teacher, served on the Pastor's Anniversary Committee and was a member of the Praise and Worship Team and the Kitchen Committee.

She was married to Oscar Shannon, who survives of the home.

In addition to her parents and husband, survivors include: two sons, Damardrae A. Steward and Lamarcus J. Steward, of the home; one daughter, Kasheana K. McNeal of the home; three brothers, Tom Moore III of Memphis, Billy Moore of Lilbourn and Steve Moore of New Madrid; three sisters, Joyce Bell of Decatur, Ill., Annette Daniel of Howardville and Ida Lindell of Sikeston.

A memorial service will be held at 12:30 p.m. Friday at Green Memorial Church of God in Christ in Sikeston. Ronald Pulley will officiate.
