Speakout 11/22

Tuesday, November 22, 2005

Don't give us a sermon On Veterans Day, what this country needed was a series of speeches from our president, vice president, and senior staff members on topics related to duty, honor, and country. What we did not need was a collective group of sermons on why it is wrong to disagree with their position or even to question their rationale at all.

I was just wondering if the rumor that I heard is true. I heard that Wal Mart is going to build a super center in Charleston, where Flag Stop used to be.

We contacted officials in Charleston. At the present time, there are no plans to build a super center.

I hope who ever you are somehow this gets back to you, and God has mercy on you lady. You need help and His name is Jesus. To the black lady who was yelling in the middle of Wal Mart parking lot in Cape on the 8th, you are a sad person. I am 57 years old. I was coming out of Wal Mart when I heard you yelling and acting like you had no sense, calling the black man the "N" word. How do we teach people not to use that word when you do? Because you're black, does it make it right? I'm confused. You had no respect for others, or yourself. How can you be respected acting like that? There is no excuse for you. Thank God the black man and white woman he was with had enough respect to walk off. You're sad and you should have been arrested. Shame on Cape Police Department for letting you use the words you used in front of all those people. It was awful. To the man and woman, if you need a witness, leave your number in the SpeakOut.

I'm calling about the person who wrote hamburger joint. Well, whoever wrote that about Sikeston, I think that's a shame. Just because you see one group of kids doing that doesn't mean that all kids do. I know a lot of kids in Sikeston that go to school, that do their work, they work, and they dress properly. And I think, he needs to keep his mouth shut. Just one person doesn't mean it's everybody. I also have another comment on the man who wrote can't trust women. Well, I think the United States needs a woman president. Most women do know everything.

Here's your sign Mike. Anhydrous ammonia is not in a cold tablet nor is it a common household chemical. Yes it is accessible to the meth makers, but not near as much as in the past. As for adding something to it to render it useless, was that not tried once before with anhydrous by adding a color to it? If people are willing to put poison up their nose, they're willing to put blue poison up their nose. All in all Mike, I agree we need more treatment facilities. We need one in Sikeston. In 5 years we will have to have one in Sikeston.
