Delta man arrested on drug charges

BENTON -- A traffic stop resulted in the arrest of a Delta man for possession of drugs Wednesday in Scott County.

Scott County Sheriff Rick Walter said around 5 p.m. Wednesday on Highway H, north of Blodgett, deputies saw a vehicle driving erratically and speeding. After stopping the driver, Bradley J. Brown, 28, of Delta, officers learned he had an active warrant from Cape Girardeau. In a search resulting from the arrest, deputies found methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia.

Brown was charged with possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia. Bond is set at $25,000, and at press time, he remained in jail.
