Speakout 7/5

Wednesday, July 5, 2006

I'm sitting here watching the 5 o'clock news, and I was just wondering does Tiffany Sisson put weaves in her hair or does it grow that fast? Because from my experience, no one's hair grows that fast, not even mine.

This is about 'Ban the burning.' Farmers have been burning their fields since the beginning of time, since this country was ever started. This same person puts this in here every year I've noticed. That's all I've got to say about this.

To the citizens of Miner. If you read the front page of this newspaper, June 22, these first responders are former Miner firefighters. Your city council says they can no longer fight fires in Miner. I urge you to call your alderman and tell them we want our firefighters back. We need them more than you can imagine.

Well it's Sunday up here in Benton and it's real nice outside. It's a shame you can't go outside and mow your yard because these farmers are burning their fields. It's a shame it ain't against the law and everything. I hope these farmers that are burning these fields all burn in hell when they die because this is a bunch of bull crap. And hell ain't a cuss word neither.

I would just like to say how pleased I am to see something positive on the front page about Terry Cole instead of all the tragedy that was on the front page about Tootie this past week. I know Terry. I went to school with him at Kelly and graduated the year before him. I also knew Tootie. She was a friend of mine. I took her to church. She was baptized a couple of years ago. I appreciated your column on Terry and good work on the job you done with Tootie. I know God is going to bless Terry, Tootie's family and her children. Thank you all very much.

This is about the newspaper in the Portageville area. Out of six days a week, we usually get the paper on time about one day of the week. It's after 6 o'clock on Thursday evening, and I ain't got no paper. On Sunday we usually get the paper sometime around 9 o'clock. I pay on time and I expect to receive on time and I would like for you to check in to it and give me an answer in SpeakOut why we don't get it on time every day.

If the carrier had your name and phone number, he (or she) would contact you to rectify the matter. However, the complaint has been forwarded.
