FULTON, Ky. -- The Sikeston Bulls pulled into a first place tie in the KIT League with a 4-2 road victory against the Fulton Railroaders on Monday.

The Bulls are now 5-4 on the season and will play Fulton again tonight at 7 p.m.

Ryan Poole was the winning pitcher in six innings of work, allowing just five hits with eight strikeouts.

"Pitching once again was the difference," said Sikeston coach Jamie Puckett. "We made a bunch of great plays, including a couple web gems that saved us. Plus, we swung the bats again today. We executed all of our sacrifice bunts, got two RBIs on a hit-and-run in the first inning. We were clicking tonight."

Puckett mentioned a leaping catch against the centerfield wall by Derrick Washington that saved at least a run-scoring double.

Jeremy Brinkmeyer threw two innings of scoreless relief. Scott Hudgins picked up the save, although he allowed two runs in the bottom of the ninth.

Sikeston was led in hitting by Robby Hohler (2-3, run), Mason Mosby (2-4, RBI), Brett Miller (1-4, run), Todd Otto (2-4, 2 RBIs) and Troy Sitton (2-3).
