BLOOMFIELD -- Wanda B. Jarrell, 70, died Jan. 28, 2008, at the Golden Living Center.

Born June 2, 1937, at Cline's Island near Bloomfield, to the late Albert and Elsie Thompson Layton, she had lived in the Bloomfield area all her life.

On June 16, 1954, in Bloomfield, she married L.D. Jarrell who preceded her in death on Feb. 1, 1965.

She was also preceded in death by six brothers, Bob Layton, Ira Layton, James Layton, Raymond Layton, Rudolph Layton and Elvis Layton; and four sisters, Cozette Lawrence, Mary DeJournett, Ollie Tidwell and Stella Shielba.

Surviving are: three daughters and sons-in-law, Debbie and Roy Pullum of Dexter, Linda and Denny Griffin of Bloomfield and Ellen and Orville Clifton of Malden; three sons and daughters-in-law, James and Sue Jarrell and Larry and Tina Jarrell of Bloomfield and Clifton and Kathy Jarrell of Dexter; and 17 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled from 5-8 p.m. Thursday at the Watkins and Sons Funeral Home in Dexter where services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday. The Rev. Dell Hartlein of Indiana will officiate.

Burial will follow in the Hagy Cemetery in Dexter.
