Robert Gorden

ST. LOUIS -- Robert Gorden, 65, formerly of Charleston, died July 28, 2006, at Christian North West Hospital in St. Louis.

He was born Nov. 12, 1940, in Caruthersville, son of Dora Lee English of St. Louis and the late Fred Douglas Gorden.

He was united in marriage to Diane Gorden, who survives of the home.

Other survivors include: two sons, Davis Gorden and Darren Gorden; one brother, Raymond Gordon; six sisters, Luella Montjoy, Ethel McCullough, Mary Francis Curtis, Augusta Goodin, Verna Barr and Quender Johnson; and two grandsons.

His stepfather, four brothers and one stepsister preceded him in death.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Ted Foster and Sons White House Chapel in St. Louis. Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Christ Our Redeemer A.M.E. Church in St. Louis.

Burial with Full Military Honors will follow in the Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery.
