Man, 21, is found dead at residence

CARUTHERSVILLE - The death of a Caruthersville man is under investigation.

At 7:30 p.m. Sunday, Caruthersville Police officers were called to a residence on Parkview Street. According to Police Chief Chris Riggs, officers found Dustin Thrasher, 21, lying on a bed inside the residence.

Officers along with EMS personnel from the Pemiscot County Memorial Hospital checked Thrasher's vital signs and found no signs of life. Pemiscot County Coroner Jim Brimhall was called and he pronounced Thrasher dead at the scene.

Riggs said as of early today, the cause of death had still not been determined.
