Bulls down Tradewater, 6-4
DAWSON?SPRINGS, Ky. -- The Sikeston Bulls improved to 10-7 on the season with a 6-4 road victory against the Tradewater Pirates on Friday night.
Sikeston's Dan Robbins was the winning pitcher in seven innings of work. Jonathan Simpher threw the final two innings to record the save.
Tradewater's best chance to tie the game was spoiled by an outstanding defensive play by centerfielder Derrick Washington.
With runners on first and third with two outs, Washington tracked down at least a bases-clearing double with a running catch against the wall.
Sikeston is now a 1/2 game behind KIT?League leader Fulton.
The Bulls were scheduled to conclude their series with Tradewater on Saturday.
The Bulls are scheduled to play a doubleheader at Farmington today.
