Bulldog golfers tie for fifth place

GOLF: SEMO Conference Tournament

CAPE GIRARDEAU -- The Sikeston golf team tied for fifth in the SEMO Conference Meet on Tuesday at Dalhousie Golf Club in Cape Girardeau.

The Bulldogs shot a 359 as a team which tied them with Dexter. Poplar Bluff took first place, shooting a 308. Jackson followed up in second place followed by Cape Central and Notre Dame.

New Madrid County Central placed seventh with a 361.

Sikeston's Dakota Trevino, last week's Class 3, District 1 champion, tied for 15th place with an 87.

Dexter's Chance Holden and John Bowman tied for eighth with each shooting an 83. Tying Trevino in 15th place was NMCC's Brett Martindale. Also, NMCC's Justin Fields shot an 88 to tie for 19th.

Sikeston (359) -- Bill Green 91, Dakota Trevino 87, Clayton Mayfield 90, De Bizzell 91, Dustin Hampton 104.

Dexter (359) -- Chance Holden 83, John Bowman 83, Dillon Demaree 90, Zack Hendrick 117, Matt Miller 103.

New Madrid CC (361) -- Justin Fields 88, Blake Martindale 93, Brett Martindale 87, Aaron Griffin 94, Matt Whitehead 93.
