Your view: Information sought

Friday, November 17, 2006

This letter is being sent in an effort to collect more historical information about the old brick Dogwood School built in 1938, in Mississippi County. It is located on highway B south of Bertrand, Mo., in the Dogwood community. The reason for collecting this information is to try and have the school placed on the National Register Of Historic Places.

The Department of Natural Resources requires much detailed information about the history of the building and the people associated with it. I am in need of information such as: names and history of the people who built the school, the teachers who taught there, photographs taken in or outside of the building since 1938, important persons and events associated with the school. Other history and documents about the school would be appreciated. DO NOT send original photographs or documents. Copies only.

Documents and photographs may be sent to: Johnny Bradley, 1050 S. Hwy. B, East Prairie, Mo. 63845-9064. Phone: 573-649-3480, E-mail: bradleyjohnny32@hotmail.com
