DEXTER - Gladys Wilburn, 85, died Feb. 20, 2007, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.

Born March 6, 1921, in Dexter, daughter of the late Bertha Graves Clark, she lived all her life in Dexter where she was a member of the First General Baptist Church. She had worked at the La Hub Cafe, Elders Manufacturing Co. and the Hat Factory.

She first married Floyd Gaines who preceded her in death. On April 9, 1971, she married Russell Dallas Wilburn who preceded her in death on Feb. 29, 1992.

Four sisters also preceded her in death.

Survivors include: two sons and daughters-in-law, Marlin "Moe" and Beth Gaines of Sikeston and Gene and Susan Gaines of Dexter; two daughters, Wanda Carwile of Dexter and Pat Wills of Festus; one sister, Mamie Campbell of Dexter; and 13 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren and eight great-great-grandchildren.

Visitation is from 5-8 p.m. today at Watkins and Sons Funeral Home in Dexter where services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday. The Rev. Kenneth Biggs of Dexter will officiate.

Burial will follow in the Hagy Cemetery in Dexter.
