Fields takes first in BassBuster tourney

SIKESTON -- The Bootheel BassBusters held their fourth tournament of the year, a two-day event, on June 3-4 on Kentucky Lake out of the Buckhorn ramp.

Brandon Fields won the tournament with a total weight of 23 lbs.-6 oz. Jerry Dement was second with 19 lbs.-2 oz. and Leon Miller was third with 17 lbs.

-14 oz. Jim Sindle took big bass honors on Saturday with a 4 lb.-3 oz. fish and Leven Cox took big bass honors on Sunday with a 3 lb.-4 oz. fish.

Houston Fields took the "Lucky Drawing" honors on Saturday while the "Lucky Drawing" on Sunday went to Mitch Allen.

Mitch Allen leads in the Angler-of-the-Year race with 900 points. Leven Cox is second with 792 points and Mike Estes is third with 745 points.

The club travels to Lake Barkley on June 25th for a tournament out of the Devil's Elbow ramp.
