Irritating irrigation

I want to talk about the irrigation in rural East Prairie. You cannot drive down any road without getting your vehicle sprayed. It leaves brown spots all over it. They are ruining our roads. Something has to be done about this. I'm sick and tired of it. Besides, it is very dangerous. If a farmer can afford these, they can pay for having the roads fixed. That's the way I think. They could turn the end part around and it wouldn't be spraying on the road. They should do that or pay for the roads or pay more taxes. I am sick and tired of it!

No sagging

I am so glad someone is finally addressing these sagging pants - pants that the crotch is down to these men's knees. It's not just the boys, it's young men also. I live on a major street where people walk a lot. They will be out there and can't even walk without having their hands down their between their crotch to keep their pants up. It is sickening, it is distasteful, it's not good-looking at all. I don't understand what woman would want a man, or a young man, that would have to do that. One man couldn't even help one lady that had to carry up a bag of groceries because he was holding on to his pants - if he didn't they would have fallen completely off. It is the most gross thing I've seen in my life. I am so sick of looking at dirty underwear this summer that I could puke. I hope this goes through, and if it gets on a ballot, I'll be the first to vote for it.

Keeping up with the Jones

It's real funny how some of these people think they can keep up with their next door neighbor, thinking they are better than what they are. They will go and get cars they can't afford, have kids they can't support. Then when you look in the newspaper, they can't even keep their taxes paid.

No place to go

I noticed that Sikeston is getting some new industry, but what this town needs is something to do recreationally. A lot of us are too old to play sports, but too young to be in the retirement home. What is there to do here in Sikeston? You go out to eat or go to the movie. That's it, unless you are into the bars. It would be nice to have a place to go to on the weekend nights. If you want to see people, go to Wal-Mart on Saturday night. Half the town is there because there's no place else to go.

What would you suggest?

Unraveled

Whenever I see McMillen unravel, I think, wow, somebody really got your goat! And by the way, don't you ever work?

Return money

In response to "Where's My Money," contact the Attorney General and file a formal complaint. This is what the consumers of Cape did with Spa 151. It will probably be a long drawn out process, but you should get your money back, assuming you can provide receipts.

Sidewalk for Ables

I'm calling to make a suggestion to the city, which pertains to putting in a sidewalk on the south side of Ables Road. You could go from the school on the east side to the school on the west side and it would also reduce some of the parents picking up the children. It would also give children, grade school, high school and etc., a much safer place to walk on Ables Road with so much traffic.
