GREENVILLE -- Donald Jean Rodgers, 67, died Oct. 25, 2008, at the Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center.

Born June 9, 1941, in Puxico, he was the son of the late Glen E. and Elizabeth Gogorth Rodgers. He had lived in Morehouse for 30 years and moved to the Wappapello and Greenville areas eight years ago. He was a retired farmer, a member of the Wappapello Eagles Aerie and the Wappapello VFW. He was of the Baptist belief.

On July 8, 1960, in Bloomfield, he married to Peggy Jean Rice who survives of the home.

Other survivors include: one son, Glen Rodgers of Wappapello; one daughter, Sherry Clay of Wappapello; four brothers, Ronnie Rodgers, Michael Rodgers and Sammy Rodgers of Advance and Carroll Rodgers of Camden, Tenn.; three sisters, Mary Lou Adams of Bloomfield, Judy Lemons of Wappapello and Linda Barnett of Evansville, Ind.; and 11 grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and several foster grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by one brother, Charlie Rodgers, and one sister, Patty Pendergraft.

Visitation is scheduled for 6 p.m. today at the Watkins and Sons Funeral Home in Puxico where services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Tuesday with Ira Lee Sandefer of Sikeston officiating.

Burial will follow in the Puxico Cemetery.
