SIKESTON -- Paul David Culbertson, 87, died at 6 a.m. Oct. 31, 2008, at his home.

Born Sept. 9, 1921, in Sikeston, to the late General Earl and Elizabeth Anna Johnson Culbertson, he had worked at the Coca Cola Bottling Company and was a U.S. Army veteran, serving during World War II. He was a member of Trinity Chapel and a former member of the American Legion, Sikeston Jaycees and the Teamsters Union.

On June 30, 1951, at Piggott, Ark., he married Imogene Heacox who preceded him in death on Jan. 10, 1980.

He was also preceded in death by four brothers, one sister and one grandson.

Survivors include: one son and daughter-in-law, Charles L. and Rose Abercrombie of New Philly, Ohio; three daughters and two sons-in-law, Margaret and James Dismang, Sharon and Ed Tillman of Farmington, and Paula Culbertson of the home; and eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled from 5-8 p.m. Sunday at the Blanchard Funeral Chapel where services will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Monday. The Rev. Elizabeth Banks, pastor of Trinity Chapel of Sikeston, will officiate.

Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery in Sikeston.

Pallbearers will be: Jimmy Dismang, Brent Gross, Greg Dement, Don Culbertson, Donnie Vent and Johnny Culbertson.
