POPLAR BLUFF -- Oma L. White, 85, formerly of Dudley, died at 10:30 p.m. Nov. 3, 2008, at the Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center.

Born Feb. 14, 1923, in Broseley, daughter of the late Jack and Ruth Carroll Roe, she had lived in the Dudley area most of her life where she was a homemaker and a member of the Dudley Community Church.

On May 24, 1939, in Poplar Bluff, she married Woodrow W. White who preceded her in death on Jan. 11, 1998.

She was also preceded in death by a son, Carl White, and two sisters and three brothers.

Survivors include: three daughters and sons-in-law, Connie and Ray Wieda-Stark of St. Peter, Ill., Dolores and Bill Stringer of Park Hills and Lovetia and Rick White of Poplar Bluff; one brother, Leonard Roe of Bonne Terre; one sister, Viva Brown of Broseley; and nine grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

Services were held today in the Watkins and Sons Chapel in Dexter with the Rev. Ryan Helton of Dudley officiating.

Burial followed in the Dudley Cemetery.
