Shelter seeks grant funds

BENTON -- Scott County officials will look over information about a Sikeston homeless shelter before agreeing to apply for a grant on its behalf.
Debra Standridge, co-director of the Guardian Angel Overnight Shelter, presented information on the shelter and a request for grant sponsorship during Tuesday's County Commission meeting.
Standridge described the Guardian Angel Overnight Shelter as a "transitional shelter" for the homeless.
