New Madrid County High School students were invited to participate in the first-ever Hart Steppe House Art Gallery's High School Art Show. Whitney Chasteen, left, and Alice Crisler, sort through the pieces in preparation for hanging them in the galleries of the home, located at 711 Water St. in New Madrid. An opening reception is scheduled from 4:30-6 p.m. today. The artwork will be displayed from 3-5 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays, 4-6 p.m. Fridays; and 8-10 a.m. Saturdays through April 23. There is a $1 admission fee.
