Workers began setting the trusses for the 16,000-square-foot Miner Convention Center and City Hall Friday. Located on 2.7 acres between the new Drury Inn and the Ruby Tuesday restaurant, the facility's two large meeting areas will be located in the back half of the building. The front half will have a large foyer, a few small meeting rooms, break rooms, rest rooms, and offices for the city clerk, city collector and mayor. The facility will cost approximately $2 million and is funded through Miner's tourism tax.
