Pictured from left, Scott County Jail employees Stephanie Gaines, shift supervisor, and Garrett Cook, security supervisor, receive CPR and Automatic External Defibrillator training from Amber Scudder, county emergency management director, Tuesday morning at the jail. Four members of the jail staff received CPR/AED certification following the training session with another four jail staff members signed up for training today at the jail. The county received the AED, a portable electronic device used to automatically diagnose and treat potentially life-threatening cardiac conditions, from Larry Chasteen, director of the North Scott County Ambulance District, in January.
