EAST PRAIRIE -- Frank Turnbo, 77, died at 8:10 p.m. Nov. 29, 2011, at his home.

Born Aug. 24, 1934, in Steele, to the late William Carroll and Nora Dove Inman Turnbo, he lived most of his life in East Prairie where he was a farmer and a member of the Nelson Memorial United Methodist Church. He also served in the U.S Army.

On May 27, 1957, he married Carlla Pate who survives of the home.

Other survivors include: two daughters and son-in-laws, Donna Denise Turnbo-Smith and Brad of East Prairie and Julie Ann Turnbo Bryant and Cully of Sikeston; one brother, W.C. Turnbo of Sikeston; two sisters, Clara Frankum of Sikeston and Opal Scherer of Puxico; and five grandchildren.

Also preceding him in death were one sister, Carrie Wyatt, and four brothers, Guy Turnbo, H.B. Turnbo, Bob Turnbo and Carlis Turnbo.

Visitation is scheduled from 5-8 p.m. today at the Shelby Funeral Home in East Prairie. Services will be conducted at 3:30 p.m. Friday at the Nelson Memorial United Methodist Church in East Prairie with Jim Dace officiating.

Burial will follow at the East Prairie Memorial Park Cemetery in East Prairie.
